Neseblod Records is an unbelievable record store in Oslo, Norway. You can buy everything from records to shirts to patches to pretty much anything you can imagine. You can even buy a bottle of Nattefrosts piss! Quite possibly the best small record store in the world!

Black Raven Records

Though it’s not heavily advertised (in fact I didn’t know about it for the longest time after numerous trips to Victoria), Black Raven Records is certainly one of the best Metal and Punk based record shops I’ve ever visited. They have a very large selection of heavy music but you’ll find they have a particular interest in the more underground genres such as d-beat, Crust and Black Metal. They’ve even been carrying some folk music of all things too! It’s a little out of the way from Victoria’s downtown, but there is direct bus service to the area and if you’re not adverse to a little walk will find yourself there in no time.
Make sure you check their hours when you visit as they keep less than ‘strict’ hours and often weren’t open until sometime past noon when I was there.

Dark Vission Entertainment

Dark Vission is a great mostly Metal focused music shop located in Monterrey, Mexico. You’ll find other genres of music there too, but Metal certainly gets a lot of their attention.

Not only do they carry CD’s from well known bands, but also a lot of talented local Mexican acts that you really should check out too. If you’re not sure what to get, ask the manager for some recommendations. He was extremely helpful to me when I visited.

Definitely well worth a visit, and you’ll find Monterrey to be a surprisingly beautiful and interesting city too. And don’t forget that the city is also home to the Monterrey Metal Fest!

Metalzone is located within the historic city of Brugge. A very tidy and well organized shop, it’s a great place to take a ‘metal’ break from all the cool sightseeing and sampling of the awesome Belgian beers.

Located very close to the Ramblas. When entering the Ramblas from the main square take the first street right (Carrer Dels Tallers) and then the next street left (Les Sitges). Small shop but nice collection of national and international underground records, t-shirts and collectables.
