Metalitalia.com Festival is the first big event presented by Metalitalia.com, the main Italian portal when it comes to metal music, in partnership with Eagle Booking Live Promotion. The event is set to take place Saturday, May 5th at the Live Music Club of Trezzo Sull’Adda (Milan), Italy.

LOCATION
Live Music Club (www.liveclub.it) with its advanced technical equipment is one of the most important and renowned venues in Italy for indoor events. The location offers also a big outdoor area where you’ll find merchandise, meet & greet area, food and bar. Moreover, at the first floor the Live Club Restaurant with its 100 seats is the best place to eat with an exclusive view of the stage.

TRAVELLING TO METALITALIA. COM FESTIVAL

BY CAR:

Il Live Music Club – Via Mazzini 58, Trezzo sull’Adda (MI) – highway A4 Torino-Venezia, exit Trezzo sull’Adda.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

I’ts very simple to reach Live Music Club with public transports. You can use the Subway Line 2 (Green) that stop in Gessate – linked to Trezzo with a bus. Also we suggest the Nordest bus from Milano to Bergamo / Bergamo to Milano that stop next to Live Club, please see here for all timetables. After the festival you will be able to get from Live Music Club to Milan Central Station. You can book your seat by writing to servizionavetta@liveclub.it, indicating also how many people need the service. The price depends on the number of users and will start from a minimal price of 10 euros. See here for further information.
We remind you that the City of Milan has developed in collaboration with ATM the service BUS BY NIGHT: every Friday and Saturday night, every hour from 2:00 until 5:10 in the morning. The service allows to return home in any area within the city, thanks to the 9 terminus identified in areas where it is concentrated the highest number of nightclubs. The cost is that of an ordinary urban ticket (1.50 €), you can buy it on board. More information here

BY PLANE:

- from Milano – Linate Airport: reach Milano Stazione Centrale railway station by public transport and then follow the aforementioned instructions.
- from Milano – Malpensa Airport (Easyjet): reach Milano Stazione Centrale railway station by public transport and then follow the aforementioned instructions.
- from Bergamo – Orio Al Serio Ariport (Ryanair): you can reach the Bergamo railway station by taking the airport shuttle bus. Then take the NordEst bus line to Trezzo sull’Adda.

HOTEL

Who need to stay there at night, is also possible to sleep in hotel at discounted prices. See the Live Music Club official website for all the details.

DISABLED

The disabled who want access to Metalitalia.com Festival have to purchase a regular ticket for access, while the carer will have a free ticket.
It is necessary send a request by fax to 0290980257 or email info@liveclub.it NO LATER THAN THE TENTH DAY BEFORE THE DATE OF THE CONCERT. The request must contain:
medical documentation of the disabled person
identity of the disabled person
The name of the carer (with their telephone number and / or email)
the band’s name, the date and place of the concert at which you want to attend
photocopy of the ticket already purchased
The accompanist name will be added to credits lists the day of the show
Live Music Club will contact you to confirm the procedure. Anyway we suggest to arrive at the show with a copy of the fax or email stating that the request has been sent in right time.

Nirwana Tuinfeest

Nirwana Tuinfeest is a 3-day festival with camping in Lierop in the Netherlands, ca. 20 mins. from Eindhoven, hosted by the local Nirwana Youth Organization. In the past 35 years many large names have performed on the openair stage, in 2010 amongst others will be performing: Ill Niño, Monster Magnet, Sepultura, Sick Of It All, GWAR, and many more.

Very relaxed people, cheap prices, and quiet camping with toilets, showers with warm water, and campingstore. Easy travel by train and bus from Eindhoven train station.

The Noctis metal festival is held yearly in Calgary, typically in the early fall. The festival has been growing rapidly attracting bigger international acts in its three years of operation. In 2009, the festival featured many well known bands such as Cynic, Suffocation, Destroyer 666, Novembers Doom and Slough Feg among others, along with popular local acts.

The festival is usually held at the MacEwan Hall as well as The Den, two indoor venues located at the University of Calgary. The 2009 edition of the festival also featured a second club night at a downtown club in Calgary called The Distillery, along with a metal conference conducted at a nearby hotel where music industry professionals and musicians participated in presentations, interviews, and also panel discussions on various music business related topics.

Maryland Deathfest

MDF is America’s biggest and best metal festival. It is typically held in late May at the Sonar club located just a short distance from the scenic inner harbour area of Baltimore. The Sonar is a large multiroom club that regularly hosts concerts. In 2009, they also blocked off the street in front and setup a large second outdoor stage. There are several hotels within walking distance from the festival.

A word about the area for any young or inexperienced travelers; I had no problems during my visit, but Baltimore does have a reputation for being a crime plagued city and there are plenty of homeless ‘crusty’ kids hanging around too, so if you’re walking around outside of the fenced venue grounds try to go with a friend, especially at night. I’m not trying to scare anyone cause its not that bad, but some common sense goes a long way, just like when traveling in any bigger city.
