hard rock club is a place where all fans of ROCK in the broadest sense of the word meet up, where they can listen to good music and have a few drinks in the company of people who have the same tastes and interests in music, share this special atmosphere that you can actually breath in, feel part of a large family and, above all, experience the spirit that unites all of us at such moments …and LA SOCIEDAD is just that. One of the best, non-conformist, alternative bars in all of ….Salamanca…. where people meet to enjoy everything they have in common: FUCKING ROCK&ROLL. Hard rock, heavy metal, AOR, industrial, grunge, punk rock, hard core … setting Salamanca’s night-life alive in our bar. The roots of LA SOCIEDAD can be traced back to September 2002 when the first bar was opened in Rodillo 14, located in the Breton hill area of ….Salamanca….. Many years before, a bar called ..LYON.. occupied the premises, on the same street as another historic bar called EL CHIRINGUITO…..

It was a small place, cold in winter and suffocating in summer, but from the first day on it had the support of all fans of rock and metal in ….Salamanca…. and also those who were just passing through…..

Its secret? Good music, professional bar staff, litres of alcohol in jugs and the great atmosphere that made the old SOCIEDAD a cool place to be…..

After two years, with space increasingly at a premium due to all the visitors packing the bar, especially at weekends, we moved the SOCIEDAD to a much bigger, soundproof place with all the comforts that the previous bar didn’t have. We shouldn’t forget that EL IDIOTA, one of ….Salamanca….’s great alternative bars, had occupied the same premises for years. The new LA SOCIEDAD opened its doors in September 2004 with a leisure area for pinball, table football, Diana, recreational activities…), music videos shown on a wide screen and a vast number of imported beers so that our customers can become experts in the best of the best …. And, of course, our patented VIKING BLOOD, the special house sangría that is so famous both in and outside ….Salamanca………

One of the things that sets LA SOCIEDAD apart is its wide selection of the best German and Belgian beers in the world – without putting down those of other countries, of course! Every month we have a “beer of the month” so that our customers can try new beers at very special prices…..

Some of the imported beers you can sample are FRANZISKANER – GRIMBERGEN – HOOGARDEN – KWAK – GUINNESS – BUDWEISER – SATAN – LEFFE – GROLSCH – DELIRIUM TREMENS – CORONITA – BARBAR – CHIMAY. On the other hand, many of our customers prefer the traditional KALIMOTXO, which you will never see served in Tetra pack, or the other drinks we serve in special, wide glasses. Another of our favourites is the CIDER Fanjul, brought directly from ….Asturias….. ….

At the cider party every Thursday you can enjoy Fanjul for only €3 a bottle and try the canapés we offer in the bar…..

And let’s not forget VIKING BLOOD, our special house sangría that will surprise anyone who tries it, plus our shots and house cocktails!

We are situated at the heart of ….Salamanca…., right next to GRAN VIA and at one side of ….SAN JUSTO…., an area famous for its bars. Just go to Gran Via, climb the only steps there and turn right on ….La Parra St….. We are open EVERY DAY from ..7pm.. (..8pm.. in summer)…..

Heavy, thrash and death metal bar with tabletop-soccer and darts in the heart of Barcelona. One the best options to have some beers while listening to really loud music. With Turkish/Arabic decoration and maybe too much light, it is always packed with metalheads, mainly death and thrash metalfreaks.

Seems to be difficult to find, so check out the descriptions below.

Opening hours: From the late afternoon until 3 AM (daily)

Carrer De Les Tapies (more or less at the beginning of the Av.Paral.lel)
Start from Las Ramblas. Head along Carrer Nou De La Rambla, towards Avinguda Del Paral.lel. Once you get to Paral.lel, take a sharp right U-turn, down Carrer De Les Tapies. It’s a one-way, pedestrian street. Hell Awaits is about 50m on the right.

Located very close to the Ramblas. When entering the Ramblas from the main square take the first street right (Carrer Dels Tallers) and then the next street left (Les Sitges). Small shop but nice collection of national and international underground records, t-shirts and collectables.
